• Sourced from the pristine Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, our turmeric is grown pesticide free with upto 12% curcumin level.
• Unlike regular turmeric this is grown in cool and moist climate of Jaintia Hills. The temperature ranges between 6 – 27 here.
• No Machines, chemical fertilizers & pesticides. Turmeric is grown using the same old techniques, prevelant for centuries.
• The ‘Mother Rhyzomes’ of each year’s harvest is preserved by farmers for future cultivation. The best rhyzomes are selected for sowing.
• Unlike regular turmeric, it is sun-dried in slice form with unpeeled skin. This helps retain all nutrients and avoid curcumin loss in the boiling process.
• At Masala Mundi, we source turmeric in the most ethical and transparent manner from our network of farmers and supply them to customers across the globe at most affordable prices.
• All cleaning, grading, processing is done at our factory at Kalyani, using all stainless-steel pulverizers and magnetic sievers to prevent any form of contamination.
• We use Oxygen Absorbents, which are widely used in pharma industry and which just absorb the oxygen from inside the packs. This helps prevents growth of bacteria and germs.
